Rear Turn Signal LEDs

I know I need resistors.
For the rear turn signals, what color LED have you used? The tail light LED panels (running lights and brake lights) have red LEDs. Since the lens is red (06 TL with Depo Type-S tails), I should be able to use white LEDs in the signals.
My question is, does it make a difference in the output?
Anyone have experience with this?

Red will act as as filter for all other colors but red, so your output will be diminished. I'm doing your SW stuff this weekend, btw, gotta get you that version #, lol

I would. I have used a white with a red filter in the past and the output was quite localized, you'll get much better effects with red.

Has anybody got any leds from JLC lighting. I just talked to Jack from JLC and he said that we can do a GB from them.
They have the Type 1 switchback white/amber leds and also Cree Led reverse bulbs.

i bought the cree led reverse bulbs. two sets actually. one for my 08 tl and one for my brothers 09 camry. its really bright and way worth it compared to 48-led reverse light bulbs or however many leds they use...

cree led is just one led but its super bright. if you look at it straight on its almost blinding. not as bright as hid reverse though

I just did rear LED turn signals and front switchbacks. Use red, make sure you test the bulb before you wire things in. The light output is lower in the daytime, but still visible (although this depends on what type of bulb you get). It's much better at night.

I got the Clear taillights with the white turn signals for the rear, and am going to get the clear headlights and add the type 1 switchbacks which will look great together.

So I'll need to swap out my current 6ohm 50w, for the 3ohm 50w to be able to run the two resistors for 4 LED turnsignals front/back?

Sweet! I had gotten a red LED turn signal earlier and was thinking about switching to white LED thinking it would make it brighter. Now I know.

I'd be interested in this group buy (after getting proper approvals from the AcuraZine gods ).

Either that or purchase a second set of the 6ohm units (which is what I did).

Who do i need to talk to? I looked everywhere for the switchbacks and JLC is the only place that has the Type 1. V-leds has been out of stock, they only have the Type 2.
