not sure but I hear it's pretty expensive...I remember reading on a new car evaluation site that this is one of the downfalls of our car....expensive bumper replacement in the event of a minor collision.

I'm sure aftermarket bumpers are available, but fit and finish might suffer.

Well how bad is it? I bumped noses with someone going 5-10 mph and the whole front bumper was trashed. I think these crumple zones the TL has are good for the driver but bad for the car as far as accidents. On a brand new car why would you want some old bumper? I know I wouldn't. The insurance company in my incident was going to find a refurbished TL bumper and I demanded a new one and got it. The only thing I could suggest, the new civic sedans have very similar bumpers!

Hi littlebuddah,

Sorry to hear about this. I had the same thing happened a few months ago, and the damage was only to the bumper. I took it to a bodyshop and they made it new again. The actual cost for the bumper cover was $275, but a toal of $730 with paint and other charges included. Good luck.

I'm assuming you have the other driver's insurance information - you shouldn't be concerned about the cost because it was their fault, right? Just get your insurance to work with the other driver's, get a new bumper, and get on with enjoying your car!
