Arrow Rear Doors really small!

I went to see the TL in the dealership last week and I must say it's really nice in person. The TL was put right next to the TSX in the showroom and SO many people got the 2 confused! I could hear people whispering and talking to whoever the heck they were with at the dealership and kept confusing the TSX as the new TL and vice versa. Anyhow, I was getting in and out of every seat in the car and I must say that the rear doors are really really small. I tried going in and getting out of the back seat 6 times and every single time, my pants brushed the side of the car and/or the part which the door closes on (don't know how to describe that! you know that part which shape for the rear wheels). Anyhow, I was thinking, after a little whiledriving around in the car, that part would get dirty and people getting in and out will get their pants dirty wiping it. IT was also hilarious seeing this big fat lady getting in and out of the rear door of the TL because she just couldn't! I was watching her and when she finally stepped out of the car, she got all of the shiny tire lubricant all over her pants and she was complaining like crazy to her husband (I think) saying they will not buy this car. lol..
Any thoughts on the door?

I don't care about how small the rear doors are since I'll never ride back there.

I agree with Hacksaw. I'll sacrifice the size of the doors to get the shorter wheelbase. I compared the specs to an M3, and found that the TL has a wider track and similar length wheelbase. Better for cornering, you know?

My inlaws are able to get into the back seat without difficulty. Besides, what Hacksaw says is totally true--I won't be teh one riding back there if I can help it .

My two kids, 5 and 10, have no problem with the door at all. My last car, formerly known as "that Pontiac POS", only two of four doors worked.

The TL is rarely used to haul 4 or 5 adults. In fact, most TL's seem to be driven by one person with MAYBE a passenger.

Personally, I would get an Accord or a Lexus ES330 if having rear passenger room was that important.

I look at the TL as being a part time 4 door car myself.
