Rear deck vibrates with sub-woofers
#1
Ok, I had same problem, I found that the rear deck has a slight crown to it at the center (higher at the center), and by holding it down at the point that it meets the base of the rear window it stopped.
I put a small strip of gray shipping foam between it and the rear window, inserting it with a plastic knife, this did the trick, no more vibration as the deck does not hit against the window anymore!
Good luck.

Sorry, no pics, I was replying to the thread that started only with a subject line.
Anyhow, it is where the rear deck cover meets the bottom of the rear window, centered between the two outboard seats (middle of where the middle seat is), all the way at the back.
There is a slight gap between the window and rear deck, this is where the foam was placed.
If pics are needed let me know and I will try to post.

Acura did call dealer to go over the issues with my car a week after the service as they said mine was one of the first in for these issues. At least they are looking at the repairs and asking questions to make it better!

This site has been very helpful. I've been made aware of so many little things that might and could go wrong that I will pick up my car and inspect it like a homocide detective. haha!
thanks to everyone...

Some people have this problem, other don't. My rattle was not that bad, but I just went ahead and fix it. You can push the foam all the way in, nobody will notice it, I just did not do it in order to illustrate others, but I eventually pushed it all the way. So far, this is the only problem I have found. Not that bad. Accords and Civics have the same/similar problems as a friend of mine reported.

My only question is why do you have to do it in a $50,000 car!

But you are right, these things should not be happening.
It would be nice if Acura searched this board and gave US feedback!
arkollbay - Thanks for posting the photos! I have taken so many, that I keep forgeting to do what you did! That is exactly the foam I used and size, shape! And yes, I pushed it way back so you could not see it, but understood you did that so people could see it! Glad to be able to help, I hate rattles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
