TPB = Those Plastic Bubbles

I like the look of them on the WDP but can't stand them on NBP, although Blackura_NY had them on his because he smokes and it didn't take away from his looks one bit. Hmmm, the fuzzy dice idea, I might have to get me a pair on ebay lol

NO! I call rain guards the smokers package. Only reason to have them is if you smoke in your car and need the windows open even when it rains. Can't think of any redeeming quality rain guards have. They certain make the car look ugly. Ecliptics says they "make the car SUPER more vip and nicer" must be a joke, just like that grammar. HAHA

I'm on the NO!!! side.

I also don't like the plastic sunrood wind deflector. I think any plastic on the outside of the car cheapens the apperance...

OEM raingaurds are fine....but dont get them as a "mod". if you smoke. you need these things because the water will make your door have water spots and make it look faded..

i had them on my NBP, look super sexy and stealth.. other colors.. i dont know. i intend on getting them for my WDP.. but again... im smokey joe, and i drive all day for work... so i NEED them....

all in all, i dont think they look bad, no matter what color. i do, however, dislike the moonroof visor...

and ps. only get OEM ones. $150 from hondaacuraworld. DIY install is not too hard

Do the oem rainguards actually fit inside the door sills, or do they have the 3M tape that you use to attach them? I have the oem ones for my Envoy and they have the typical 3M adhesive and it seems like every year they are coming loose and I have to reattach them with new adhesive bc of the changes in temperature

^^ Thanks! My dealer said he would match $150 from any online retailer so I'm going to pick up a set, just want to hold them up to my car and see if I like them in person. These don't actually come in body color right? but you can probably easily paint them to match?

yea. the slide inside the window channel (requires you to pull down weather stripped from inside window channel) takes about an hour or so to do..

if you DIY little hint. the first window you do, dont do the drivers side. because the first one you do, may leak as you are not sure how to properly adhere them and insert them. work on the back windows first IMO

I can't live without them. always leave an inch open with all windows when I park my car under the sun. and yes, I have window tint and windshield reflector too. I love how they look, BTW!

you're funny man. i dunno if you can put an Acura in the same category as a Ferrari or anything, but your point is clear. I was actually thinking about getting these too, but I'm undecided. The OEM ones aren't that tacky looking, but I'm still undecided. And the OEM ones aren't cheap either, so if you're gonna get those, you damn well better use 'em, after paying that much.

So are you saying Slammed JDM looks like shit? That is one of the HOTTEST TL around with the door visors for those of you who keep calling them rain guards...

took me like a half hour, no leaks but i did these on my cl as well as some of my other car's in the past. Fyi: i been through 2 sets.the 04-06 do not fit 07.(ventshade)then again those don't look as good as oem. I love them, more than looks the function...

I think the OEM ones look great. The weather tec ones are horrendous. Get the OEM. I smoke, so I need to get some badly.....this car leaks like no other when it's raining out. For me it's function over form, but I still say OEM over anything else.

SORRY, don't want to offend anybody with my opinion. I JUST HATE ANY PLASTIC BULGING crap on ANY car. I don't care how many great MODS are done to a car, once those plastic things are put on a car it RUINS it.... IMO. YUK

JD-TLS has a point, albeit an extreme one. LOL!

You don't see BMW or Mercedes with these "protrusions" on them. Whatever they may actually be called, that's what they are. If you don't smoke, why mess up the quality look? Gives the car a cheaper look no doubt. Takes away the luxury aspect of it and makes it just look like another sporty car with mods on it!

the OEM ones dont bulge out though at all. I do see your point JD, but the OEM are very very sleek looking...
