Quote for TL 05 maintenace code B2 service

I would like to DIY, but don't have a garage to work in..and it is frigid in the VA/MD area...
Got a quote for a B2 service (car has almost 52k), for 250.00.

Is that good? i know it is kind of a minimal service..oil change, filters and some tweaks here and there...

One other reason I am leaning to a shop is that i won't mind a look over of the car generally...recently bought.

Cheers

Thanks guys. We just have some of the worse weather going on now. I would just love to do it myself.

That 250 can be 50 if you DIY. I can even help you and do it all for 100.

That's way overpriced!

Go to your dealer and get your normal oil change, 30 dollars. Go to discount tire and get a rotation, 20 dollars. Go to your acura dealer, get the filters (cabin and Engine) for about 50 total. Check out the DIY's on how to do these yourself in 20 minutes without breaking a sweat!

For the engine air filter all you will need is a philips head screw-driver to loosen and tighten 4 screws. For the cabin filter, the same screwdriver to remove 2 screws and to push up 2 clips.

look in the phone book ads for a honda/acura small private shop
they can look over and under for anything needing attention soon and do the oil change for you

Tire rotation is personal choice-
I dont- and replace 2 tires at a time, keeping the best tread on the rear so car stays hooked up in corners while keeping expenses down right now

the only point of it is a good look at the brake pads inspection holes- if the low paid person changing tires around knows what to look for~

The small shop- you often speak with the owner and some of their family,,dad trained the kids to be skilled and care about their work..
