1) does it say TL TYPE S on the floor mats? mine says only TL even though its a TL-S.

2) does the the TL-S have a round light where the key goes in? see pic for reference. I think its an 04 TL in the pic below but my car doesnt have a light where the key is supposed to go in. even older cars do..

 

I know the floor matt says "TL", can't remember about the ignition light.

Probably dont need 30 people giving you the same asnwer but considering I have had 3 TL Type S's I can tell you for 100% sure that the 2007 and 2008 Type S has:
-Floormats say "TL" and nothing else
-Has a red illuminated ring around key slot.

If yours doesnt have the light its probably burnt out. Should be an easy replacement you will need to remove the lower steering column plastic cover and get at it from there.

 

So did we ever figure out if the the Mats had "TL-S" and if the ignition ring lights up?
