My 07 Type S has 250k miles and now needs quite a bit of maintenance. Replacing 3 gaskets (valve cover,upper,intake manifold), motor and trans mounts need replacing,soloenoid, oil pressure switch,brake pads,assembly spool, power steering shaft seal,spark plug seals. Local shop quoted me $1500 for the labor (had estimated at 17hrs) and $1700 for parts. I found all the parts for less than half of that price so im looking for another mechanic now. is any of this easy to do yourself? Has anyone else done all of this maintenace at once? Just trying to see what a fair price should be?
