Question about All Weather Mats.

Actually I have a few questions.

1) Does the TL already come with regular floor mats?

2) If the first question is yes, if you get the All Weather Mats do you also
get to keep the regular floor mats? Meaning they would just place
the All Weather Mats on top of the regular mats.

3) For those that have the All Weather Mats, how are they?

Please help, I trying to decide if I should get them or not.
Thanks.

I have all weather mats. Bought them from my Acura dealer. You get to keep your regular floor mats, they have been in my trunk ever since. And yeah you dont need to put them on top of the regular mats. You will clearly notice the amount of dust/dirt/grime that collects with normal usage on All weather mats and i would really recommend them. Good long term investment, easy to clean, only available in black color (atleast when i got mine).

The TL comes with standard carpeted floor mats. If you get the optional rubber mats they are placed over the carpted mats. The rubber mats are black and aren't especially good looking but fit and protect well and up here in the Northeast they are very useful during our messy winters. I ended up keeping the rubber mat on the drivers side in place even in the warm weather to keep my heel from wearing a hole in the carpeted mat. No regrets, I recommend them. I bought my TL in March and only got $500 off sticker but got the dealer to throw in the all weather mats and mud flaps for free.

Good you asked this question. I did not know that the Mats are part of the MSRP when I bought. I'd negotiated mats in my price and they were $129 (my salesgirl thought was all weather mats). However, when I took delivery I said "oh! here are my mats" when I saw regular mats in the trunk. Guess what, she never gave me my all weather afterall. When I came to know about this it was a week after and I called and was refused.

I'll say, get protection package and all weather mats in your price.

Okay thanks Intox. So I'm assuming at stock the regular floor mats DO come with the TL. I'm asking because if I do get the All Weather Mats I want to make sure I can keep the regular mats in case the dealer tries to keep them.

Wow quick replies, thanks everyone. Yeah, I think I'm going to get the All Weather Mats as long as I get to keep the regular ones also. I'll make sure the dealer lets me have them.

price I paid

if you have made a purchase and are looking to get the all weather matts from the dealer, let me tell you that the cost to the dealer is 85 bucks, and I got it at that price. Try to get your dealer to get there.

Cleaning

Don't use any rubber or vinyl cleaner on them!! They looked good but my feet were sliding all over the place for over a week!

For anyone who puts their all season mats over the over the carpeted ones, do the rubber feet on the all season mats mess up the carpeted ones (putting little dimples in the mats)?
I'd like to just put my all-season mats over the originals, but not if its going to mess them up permanently...........

Thanks

One way that you might approach this is by showing your dealer a price for the all-weather mats from eBay. Search for the seller 'acuradeals'. They're usually listing three or four sets of mats for about $85.

If the stock carpet mats were any cheaper, they would just be paper-towels. I leave the all-weather mats in year-round.

I second the comment about cleaning - avaid Armor-All type products - your feet will slide all over the place. I use Orange pumice disposable wipes to clean my mats.

It does leave dimples, but when you vaccum the mats it goes away.

The instructions that came with the black rubber mats state that you should remove the carpeted mats first. The fit is much better. In the Spring, take out the rubber and put in the carpeted mats.
