Quarter panel scrape

Was distracted last night while talking with my little one, and backed into another car with a fixed rear view mirror. Arrgh.

Picture: https://acurazine.com/forums/picture...ictureid=63217

There's also a minor rash on the bumper cover, which I can touch up. The lens cover is ok and the other car is ok.

I have similar questions as in https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...=quarter+panel - Can this be done with paintless dent repair place, and does anyone know of a good one in Chicagoland? Does it need a full-on body shop? I'm going to ask my neighbour, who's an auto painter, and my local body shop as well.

Also, how do I get rid of the 'click the image to open in full size?'

I doubt PDR will take care of that...check with a shop that does PDR.

It's not a paintless dent repair if you still have to get it painted afterwards lol.

Let us know what your neighbor says. I'm curious to know what to expect if that ever happens to me

Not too many study or have experience in pdr...best option will be body repair....rem taillight n side marker, use hand picks to bump out as much as u can, sand, apply body filler...feather edge, scuff paint , and traditional tri coat paint, good luck

ive been doing body work for quite a while and i hate to break it to you but looks like its going to need paint work. if your finger nail can catch the scratch its gonna need paint, if not a good pdr guy might be able to help you out.

Thank you GKinColo08TL, vietxquangstah, warren4066, and epinkiert. I'll clean up the black plastic but still think that I'm looking at a paint job. I'll post an update after my neighbor's looked at it this weekend.
