Putting a front plate back on

I looked for threads similar to what I needed but could only find threads on covering those two bumper holes..

I'm trying to put back my front plate back on since cornell cops are annoying not only about tints but also about the front license plate, but I left that big frame that the license plate is mounted on back at home.. is that something I can just purchase at a local auto store? And how exactly do you remove those two hole covers, can you just push from behind?

Just reach behind the bumper cover and push them out. Try wrecking yard for the plate holder.

I would think try calling the dealer - may get lucky and have it be one of those $20 parts.

I tried to call around for parts on my 97 expedition and they just about laughed at me. I think it takes 15-20 years before cars depreciate enough to start being junked.

I know it's been a while since I've been to the junk yard, but I don't recall "The 12th row down on the right" being a row of Acura's.

Let us know what you find though

I went to the Honda dealer at Ithaca since the nearest Acura dealer is in Syracuse which is an hour away and I have finals coming up so that's a no no.

The part that i'm looking for is called the license "bracket" and they didn't have one for an 05 TL.. but when I was at the parts dept, there was a license plate bracket for a honda civic and it was priced at $10.. I think i might just ask my parents to mail it to me since I left it at home.

I got pulled over by a pretty young lady officer yesterday on 280 near Saratoga, saying that I didn't stop for the red light before I storm onto the highway ramp. I'm 100% sure I did wait for the light to go green before I step on it ... my buddy was riding with me but he was on the phone with his biach ... so she said she would let me slide with the stop light but I have to put on my front plate before Feb .... had the car for seven months & this was a first ... LOL ...

I might just put it on so that I don't have to worry about it anymore ... she even jokingly told me that the plate could fall off "accidentally" after the Feb. inspection.

I bought a holder and correct screws from oem acura parts. I think it was like $18 for everything (plus shipping). I haven't put it on yet though. The TL just looks to good without it.

You can say that again .... so much cleaner without it ... the only advantage of having one is that it serves as a cushion when I get close to someone's rear end ...

Front License Plate

I have the front license plate installed already. I want to know, how do you take the license plate holder out so that you can see the "Acura" word in the front.
