I'm purchasing a TL and wanted to confirm with TL owners on where I should expect to see the VIN number sticker on the different body panels of the car. On this particular car I checked out it had VIN numbers on the trunk, hood, and all the doors. I didnt see one of the fenders but I think its possible acura doesnt put them on the fenders or bumper or maybe I didnt see it. Also I didnt see one on the rear bumper.

Can you guys please confirm where i should expect to see these? Obviously these vin number stickers are important as they show that the body panels are original and not replaced due to an accident.

The one on the rear bumper is pretty obvious - if you don't see it with minimal effort it's not there.

The one on the front bumper: with the hood open, look on the passenger side a little bit under the black plastic trim piece.

I have yet to locate the ones on the front fenders. From what I understand they are fairly well hidden away. But it stands to reason that if the stickers are present on the hood and front bumper, the car most likely hasn't sustained any serious front-end damage.

technically, EVERY body panel (original) should have a VIN sticker.

please correct me if I'm wrong!

 

I was replacing the front right plastic inner fender (part # 74100-SEP-A10) assembly on our 2007 TL and spotted the front fender VIN sticker on the inside of the fender.
