If you want to beat a G35 and that is your first priority, they're having a great sale right now on Porsche Boxter S's. Just a little bit more than the TL.

Or a Lotus Elise!

You should take a quick history lesson in the 2nd gen forum. Honda's own report to the NHTSA state a quality issue with the suppliers of the cluch packs which they compensate for by trying to increase the size of the fluid veins to the 3rd gear. Now that thats taken care of it's the 2nd gear that needs a pisser. Come on this can go on and on!
BTW how do they build cars to break speed record? I know, I know, they throw some NOS on it and see what breaks then take action and do it again until they reach there desired HP without blowing, sound familiar? Only thing is Hondas doing it post-production.

Unless you have a real strong reason to get the auto (wife that may need to drive the car and won't/can't/shouldn't drive an MT), then get the 6MT. Brembo front calipers and LSD say it all.

My apologies! In our own family, get an S2000 although you will be spending more than for a TL. You can then have the speed and handling of the Boxer S in a more attractive (IMO) package.

I'm sure there's lots more choices out there as well.

As one guy put it to me when I had to make that fateful decision."Either you like to drive or be driven". .....................I went with the 6spd.
