Pulling in to the parking garage this morning and I scratched up my car like an idiot
Ok, so I tried to squeeze in to a tight spot with LOTS of concrete all around me, and I am not yet used to the size and parking of the tl. I scratched up the side some, about 3 inches wide and long, all white now on my NBP, and scratched the edge of my side mirror. This sucks!
thinking about getting some touch up paint and clearcoat from the dealer or paintscratch.com and rubbing compound. Man , i knew this would happen.

I have my parking garage scoped. There are about 10 or so oversized spots. I get to work early enough (7:30) that i can always get one of them.
My coworkers always bitch cause i never drive to lunch because i don't wanna lose my spot. lol

The other day I thought for sure I was going to curb both my left side rims but, was lucky and didn't. Trying to fit into the last space in the whole lot.
On my 2000 Accord I did curb a rim at Yankee Stadium parking. I was backing into a spot and using the mirror to watch a support pole / beam. Well I didn't know / see that the damn concrete thing it sat on was like 6 inches wider or whatever then the pole. Boy was I pissed.
Add to that the poor turning radius of the TL and you really have to becareful. Hope it looks ok when you touch it up.

Yea man... I did recently as well, but it wasn't as bad as you, mine was only the front corner bumper of my civic(luckily it was only a civic) but before that I kept the car in mint condition.... Also didn't help that I was selling the car to get ready for the TL...
I hate it when i do something retarded like that... I get so pissed at myself with no one to blame but me... i so want to punch myself out!!!

so i went back to the garage and checked it out again, and it wasnt as bad as i originally thought. But it is still VERY noticable. I ordered some touch up paint, clear coat, rubbing polish from paintscratch.com and hope to get it back to good.
I am not parking in that small ass spot anymore, dont know why i did in the first place! I will go to the second floor down even if i have to walk an extra flight of stairs, where no one is in the morning.

You know You may have just scuffed up the clear coat, cuz usually thats what causes the white blemishes. If you run your finger nail across the surface does it stick anywhere?
You may be able to just use a medium polish, follow with a light polish and then just wax/sealant it and it should be fine.

I was thinking about doing a couple coats of touch up paint, along with clear coat, and use rubbing polish to finish it off. Do you guys think that will work? I have never done anything like this. Im a noob. The scratches are not that deep. Basically, it is white with a coat taken off.

another man's pain is may be another man's pleasure LOL;
just kidding, i mean, still post the pics, (SO WE CAN ALL EVALUATE THE LEVEL OF DAMAGE DONE AND GIVE ADVICE OF COURSE...)
sorry about the scrape, .....yea getting used to a new car is a b*tch, actually happened to me to the first week i had the TL. i think the hardest thing to adjust to was the turning radius, on some more narrower roads, i have to legit 3 pt turn ...lol

Hey, before you clear coat, make sure you wet sand... I had a buddy touch up her white Camry and didn't wet sand it... there are round spots all over her car after hail damage...

gota agree with stillhere153. It is so much easier to back the tl, perhaps because of the rearview camera. Everytime i drive it in, i end up scraping the black plastic board under the bumper. Might have to replace one soon, its pretty much goner.

Not to mention the rear view mirror tilts down so you can see the curb and parking space lines.
