The one that makes the bar the shortest.

I just ordered mine today. How hard is it to install? I would rather do it myself if it's not impossible. (as far as needing any special tools)

A 5mm (or is it 8?) Allen wrench is the only "special" tool.

Mechanically it is VERY easy - 4 Bolts & New Bushings.

Spacially it is a PITA. You have to work the bar over, forward, down and out (twisting along the way) to get it out (reverse to get the new one in). It requires a good bit of patience.

Once the old one is out and the new one is in place, get the end-links loosely connected, then do the bushings, then tighten the end-links.

It's easier if the suspension (shock/spring) is out, but that's not worth the hassle if you're only doing the RSB.

Bearcat has it nailed. PITA getting the NEW bar in it's resting place. But worth it!!

The old bar comes out soooo easy..........15 - 20 min.

Getting NEW RSB in.............30min +

I would try STREET setting first. You can ADJUST the bar easier once it is installed on the car. This way, you can see which is better for your taste.

You will notice a HUGE improvement with the NEW RSB vs STOCK. NIGHT & DAY!!

Make sure you place an ALLEN WRENCH in the END BOLTS before you start to turn the END BOLT/NUT off. You will need 2 hands for this part, be patient.

Next............get some REAL TIRES like I did. Dump the CRAPOLA Michelins!!
(Falken FK 452's!!! 245/45/17............ )

Thanks for the advise. I am actually going to try the track first....I want to feel the most stability possible. As far for the tires.. i know man. those michelins are crap.. i only have 9.9k miles on them and they suck.. came out the wash the other day and on hard turn while the wheels where wet... the car slip on me and lost tracktion. Waiting to get ronjons legend 19 graphite to in the next 2 months before i change my tires. Although i am handy and have done all my mods.. Including type s lights....i paying for this one.. i have a lot of car shop competing here.. probably pay like 50. Just dont feel like dealing under the car. Pure laziness

I was asking myself the same questions a few weeks ago when I installed mine.
One guy seemed to use the most "engineering" when the question was asked "street or track". The response was to use the street setting for the stock sized tires, and track setting if you have a wider, more aggressive pattern.
I ended up setting them on "street".

If anyone has used both the street and track settings to compare, I'd love to hear from you.

Excelerate: Some input from you is appreciated on this topic since you sell them, and we expect you to be an authority on this!

I installed the bar myself in a few hours. Just make sure your rear end is jacked up safely. There are 2 tricky parts. You need an allen wrench to remove the smaller nuts on the suspension. The wrench fits INSIDE the bolt to hold it while you are loosening the nut. The instructions DO NOT explain this. Generous applications of WD40 recommended before you start loosening, as they rust easily.

The hardest part was weaving the new and larger bar into place around the exhaust/suspension. I ended up using a crowbar, but I did make it. It just takes some finesse, muscle, and maybe a helper.
Good luck! You'll love it

I've had this bar on my car for about six months, alternating between the street and track positions. To be honest the labels are pretty accurate: the car is much better behaved on the street in the "street" setting. When moved to "track" and driven over the east-coast roads the car had a bit of a tendency to let go in the rear when driven around rough turns (and since it's the end of winter there are a lot of those here). It's especially pronounced with the stock Michelins back there as well (which I'm sure is at least 50% of the problem).

My advice would be to start on the street setting. You'll feel the difference immediately. When you're used to it and feeling a bit more adventurous, bump it up and see what you think. I didn't notice a huge leap in stiffness like I did just by installing the new bar, but I did notice what I mentioned above. I like the street setting just fine when driving like a normal person. For track days though, stiff makes a huge difference, since the roads are smooth and even.

Cool, I can't wait. I'll probably be installing my RSB next weekend. I have 225/40Z/R18's so I guess it should have better handling then, huh?

Installed and tested on Track... I pushed my TL very hard.. even in the streets of NYC. 80 dollars to installed.. probably could of been cheaper or i could of done it myself, but dint feel like wasting time just to save 20 dollars. I am loving the change.. You do feel the bumps harder but the i love the stability of the car when i turned it hard..... my body no longer shifts into the turn. Really recomd this mod to everyone.

This is Josh from Excelerate's comments on the setting in reply to an e-mail I sent him:

[Quote]The adjustment range is really just preference. When it is set to full stiff the car can be thrown into oversteer relatively easily so thatʼs just something members should be aware of but either of the holes are going to increase the roll resistance by at least 100% over the stock stuff.

In the bronx, Park avenue right of the webster exit on the cross brong.. i have the information in the car.... if you need it pm me... but quite honest man.. if you have the equipment to jack up your car.. it will be and easy DIY.

As for the difference, yes immedietly u notice the difference on the first corner you turn.. the back follows the front a lot smoother, and on hard tuns.... you dont feel weight shifting.. so my body doesnt go flyin in the direction i am turning.
