So after over 6 months of worry-free ownership, we've found a couple of problems with our car. A couple of weeks ago, we found rust! I don't have any pics right now, but if you look on the inside bottom of the driver's side door, close to the front of the car. There's a little square there, and that inside edge of that has been rusting. My boyfriend spoke to the service manager, and the first thing he said was that it wasn't rust. Then he said that it was normal. My bf got pissed off, so he just bought the touch up paint and left. we had our salesman look at it, and he just told us to keep an eye on it. Has anyone had this problem?

Also, our moonroof has been making rattling noises whenever we open/close a door, go over a bump, etc. It also sounds louder and harsher when we open/close the moonroof itself. we'll be taking it down to the dealer soon, and hopefully they will fix it.

I just had to share this with peole who would understand. I still love the car though!

 

Good luck with the trip to the dealership. They should be able to fix that moonroof rattle since there is TSB out there.

 

You know the moon roof rattle has been there for 6 years... Yeah that's right, the rattle has been there as far back as the early 2G models. The find it easier to do the TSB. It seems that once opened you run the risk of having it rattle. If you never open it, it does not seem to have the issue. Both 2G cars that I had 99/01 had this problem
