Problem Noise

Description of Problem:
1) Only happens once. When the car is cold.
2) Hear and Feel a "THUNKING" sound. Feel it through the gas pedal and under floor board. Drivers side.

Car is 6 weeks old with 2000 miles

What usually happens. Back out of garage. Put car in drive and as I roll forward lets say around 10 feet I hear the THUNK. It will not happen again until the car sits for at least an hour and is basicly cold. I can stop and go no problem until the car sits. Dealer can't really figure out the problem because you can't duplicate the problem over and over.

I thought it might be the cable to the gas pedal. Dealer doen't think so. Thinks it is more suspension. They are e-mailing Honda Engineers and asking them.

Has anyone ever heard of this problem?? HELP

I get the Same thing. It is when I first put it in first gear and start to move. The dealer said that it was normal and it is the brakes.

Lots of tiny noise comes out of this car. Not bad things, but annoying if you don't know what they are. You have to identify and define the noise level and describe how it sounds like.

Our brakes will also make noise insides and outsides. 5AT tranny will make noise when shifting. ABS will make noise as the ppl said above. More...

There is no cable to the gas pedal. This car has a drive-by-wire throttle. I can't believe your dealer didn't mention that.
I agree it could be the ABS self test.

actually they did. But I the truth is there is a wire from the throttle into the engine compartmant to a solenoid and then drive by wire to another solenoid then to the carb.
