Personally, i would not pay close to 30xxx for a loaner vehicle..who out there actually treats a loaner/rental nicely?

Most wouldn't drive a loaner any differently that their own vehicle, but then of course, you always have the nuts that trash their own car, so they would drive the car the loaber the same way. Same with a lease, but the condition of the car is the telling story.

I certainly wouldn't hesitate, especially with the warranty that's included.

I got my '06 TL in December with 5,000 miles. It was a demo vehicle driven by a dealership employee. They were only allowed to drive it to and from work and had to keep the milage below 6000 miles for the year...... Anyways, i was able to get it for $28,000 then. Now that the '07s are on the streets and people are recognizing the difference, i would argue the '06 and earlier have dropped in value. If I were you i wouldn't pay any more than $27,000 and i would go in there trying to push for $26,000. More than likely the dealership is trying to get rid of the car to bring in more '07s. If you tell them $26,000 stating your reasons why and they say no, walk out. They got their value out of it as a loaner, not it's time for them to realized it a used car even though you are the first one on the title and they need to pass on some savings to you.

::Edit:: Just noticed you said it was a Navi, mine's not. I suppose you should add an extra $1500 for that. Don't allow them to charge you the whole $2000, it's not a new vehicle. I'd say to try to get them to come down to $27,500

Don't include the tax, as that will be a given with any car you buy, and differ from state to state. Some Acura dealers carry used TL's that are not Certified. When I purchased mine (WDP with Nav, XM free for 3 months), the car wasn't certified, but we struck a deal where Certification would be included, then I opted $895 for the bumper to bumper warranty 7 yr/100,000 miles from date of in service.

Take a look at the the Certified cars on the Acura website. Go to the following and look up Pre Owned Certified. Use your Zip and it will list the cars available. Compare just the cost of the vehicle:

First of all, if it is a loaner I would not even touch it (When I mean loaner, I do not mean previously leased).

I personally do not treat a loaner the same way I treat my baby. Besides for the price you are going to pay for a loaner, I think there are better deals out there.

If you're looking for a used car, just got to ask how one would know how the previous owner took care of the car? Dealership salesman could have trashed the car in 6,000 miles, leased car the same, and also a previously owned, non leased car, could have been driven hard on cold starts, and at extremely high speeds in a short distance of time.

I believe that to most, the term loaner suggests that the car was driven acrossed the Baja, but once again it shouldn't matter as the condition should prevail. How many have purchased a car with 10, 20, 50 miles on the odometer. Ever wonder about the low mileage, yup test drivers, so where do you draw the line.

I've seen dealer drivers pick up a car from another dealer, eg exchange, and drive the living daylights out of the car on the way back to the dealership, then it's sold to the unsuspecting customer.

You never know!
