i've been reading about replacing the pressure switches for 3G models that exhibit a shudder/roughness shifting from 3rd to 4th.

most of this talk seems to focus on the 04-06 cars, but some people with 07/08 cars also chime in and sometimes have this issue too, even though most people have the 04-06 model.

so you guys with the 07/08 TL (3.2L), have you replaced these pressure switches and has it improved the shifting?

what needs to be done? (two 3rd gear and one 4th gear switch). ATF fluid flush at the same time is probably also a good idea?

Yup 3x3 and replace the switch should help the problem.

 

I did 3x3 flush n switched preasure switchs all around the same time.i did the flush two months after i bought my 08 base tl and it did make a differance. I used amoil atf but some other members perfer redline.

Correct, two 3rd gear sensors and one 4th gear sensor. I did mine last year, and it does make a difference in shift quality. OP - I'm starting the same search you just concluded. 07/08 TL w. Nav (I'm looking at non-S) and I'll be doing my search in LA. Curious if you have any tips to share from your search?

 

I have the switches sitting in my glove box waiting to go in. I also bought a case of Redline Racing ATF. I can wait to see the difference.
