For the people that has clear bra on their TL, do you have any paint chips on the hood or fenders where the clear bra doesn't cover?

I now have over 12,000 miles on my TL. I got two tiny paint chips above the top of the clear bra, and another tiny one between the clear bra material on the passenger’s rear view mirror and the door frame. I touched them up with the “Paint Pen” than I read about on this web site.

Yup, i guessed the rock bounced off one area of the car and hit the part that was not covered...part of the top part of my aspec lip is not covered and i already found a chip...oh well.

The only paint chip I have is where a rock somehow hit my XM antenna. Pretty crazy.

So far, knock on wood, my Supershield clear bra has worked great!.I have had debri hit the bumper and lower hood but it has worked as promised. Best paint protection out there, highly recommend them. Can be reached at www.autosupershield.com. My installer in Boca Raton, Peppi, is an artist.

I have about 2,300 miles on my 04TL. The only chip I have is above the clear bra where the hood is not protected -- must have been a small rock/pebble. The clear bra is flawless and super-easy to clean (as long as you keep up with it).

I have one chip at the rear edge of the hood, but it was already there when I had the Clear Bra placed.

It's Murphy's law. A rock will always find unprotected paint.

A paint pen is absolutely superior to a bottle and brush. I could never get a good touch-up until I got the pen. With the pen I did a very good job on my first effort.

I did not like the other (clear coat) end results and next time will just stick with the primary color.

Got the pen from Ebay for about $15 including shipping.

what do you do when the clear bra gets a mark from a rock? Can't be fixed I'm guessing?

I can only say the one I got from Ebay works great. I don’t know how well the other one will work.
