Ok u hold down the unlock button and the sunroof opens and the windows go down.Now on bmw u put the key in drivers side door to roll them up .How do u roll up windows on the 04 TL.

 

Same way...put the key in the hole and turn to the lock position....hold it there and the windows start to rise

 

It is the same as you described with the Beamer.

 

I thought you had to do it twice...turn left to lock once, release and then turn it back to left and hold it to roll everything up tight.

I might be wrong...I never roll then down so i have no need to roll them up.
