In Canada.
07 TL Non Navi
- $694 tax in @ 48 months
- 0 down
- 24,000km limit per year
Damn thats expensive.
In Canada cars cost way too much plus some cars are illegal like the Mitsubishi EVO and plus so many illegal after market mods are not allowed. And if they catch you street racing then your car gets crushed. Well specifically in Toronto.

Other than tints (that are legal for your state), basically nothing that cannot be removed and returned to stock. Also, any change/modification must be legal in your state.
If you make a change and don't return it to stock, Acura has the Option to charge you what it will cost to return it to stock.

similar deal as the OP at $480 a month in NYC...(for NYC I think I got a sick deal) The deal of course depends on when you actually acquired the lease.....
but with those incentives the OP mentioned, there is a catch, as they will be happy to record your mileage and condition of your leased TL...they'll make their money on those "free" incentives at the end of the lease.
EDIT: 2008 WDP TL-S picked up in december, 2007

08 TL/Navi
$450 a month/36 months/10,000 miles (I live in Key West so I don't need alot of miles).
$200 down to pay for tag transfer only
I traded in my 04 TL/non-navi with only 22,000 miles. They used the equity in my car as down money. I was happy with this until I saw ifirahse's deal on his TL-S!

Which dealership did you buy yours from? Also what time of the year did you purchase it?
Also did you know someone from that dealership or was it some random sales rep?
I went to Acura In Markham.

BTW congrats on your new ride. It sucks to have it at a time like this since the ground is slushy and wet and nasty. Maybe run into you at Acura in Markham or in the city of Markham.

07 TL-S purchased in december 2006
$500/month total (467 base rent + tax = 500.xx)
36 months/12K
money factor: 0.00154
residual: 60% (AHFC)
Cap cost: $35,500
OOP: $1000 (see note below)
3 yrs maintainance included (see below)
Note: The $1000 out of pocket was from the $1000 in equity from my 2004 TSX lease trade in. For some reason, the lease buy-out on my 2004 TSX navi was low, $18,600. So I wrote a check to the leasing company and after 6 weeks of title crap, The dealer bought my car for $19,600.
Also it should be mentioned that the original money factor was 0.00300, but the GM of the dealership knocked it down to 0.00154 but i had to purchse the maintainance plan. The $500 a month includes the price for the maitainance plan.
This was a very good deal at the time, and appears to still be a pretty good deal today. This was a new Acura dealer in Atlanta (Jackson Acura), they had only been open for 3 months, so they were willing to deal. I would recommend Jackson to anyone in Atlanta.

08 Acura Tl Non Nav
I think that I got one of the best deals ever for an 08 ACURA TL base model.
My initial downpayment was $2200 including first month's payment, NYS tire tax, NYS sales tax - Nassau County too, documentation fee and dmv new plate fees. My lease is for 36 months/12,000 miles and my monthly payment is $353.42 a month which includes all of the taxes paid up front. I have not heard of a better deal from anyone else. I used fightingchange.com to order their reports and get all of the info that no one else can get from edmunds. They tell you how long it usually takes for a TL to sell right when it gets to the lot, how their sales are doing, what incentives they are giving. I used the fax attack and I got dealers fighting for my business. I never even stepped into a dealership except to pay my first downpayment. Everything was all prenegotiated on the phone, actually I did not have to negotiate at all. I was very very skeptical at first when I went onto the website, but let me tell you - do not EVER buy a car without ordering one of these reports from fightingchance.com. If you guys want to see what the report looks like, send me an email through shibalyeun@gmail.com and I can send you the pdf's that I received when i ordered my car.

Can you guys teach me about leases? I bought a 06 TL 6MT in January 07... I got a 5 year loan with $5,000 down and my current balance is around $21,000. I want a TL-S so bad and I want to purchase it but don't want to pay more than $540/month which is what I am currently paying (4.9% interest rate).
Can somebody break down numbers for me to show me how lease would benefit me rather than purchasing? If it would that is. I just don't see how lease can be better compared to purchasing when you can sell your TL after 5 years for a nice sum (if you decide to purchase).
Please explain

In short - it can't.
The only advantage of a lease is that you guarantee yourself moderate payments and a new car every few years. In almost all scenarios a lease will cost you $2,000 or $3,000 more over the same 5-year purchase period.
So it's not devistaing financially, but it is usually several hunder per year worse than buying.
The only real exception is if you happen to have a payoff that's lower than the re-sale market value of the car. In those rare cases, dollars-to-dollars, leasing is approx eqaul to buying, and you still get a new car sooner.
