Poor Dashboard Fit?

My 06 TL is just about 3 weeks old, and i notice this crappy fit between the top of the air vents where that panel connects to the dashboard. When i run my fingers across it, there are 2 depressions on the black part thats connected to the vents, not the dash itself...

does anyone elses look or feel like this or do i just need to get that bottom piece replaced?

Yeap, I have a few like this, one over the left a/c vent. But as long as it isn't rattling like my '05 TL I'm ok.

I guess mine is okay so far. It may warp as time goes by.

My 06 has them also in the exact same spots. I wonder if the clips are in those spots?

You guys are being WAY too fussy. I've got them on my '04, but never noticed until you posted about it. I'd guess there are clips holding the two panels together at that location. It's just a car....nothing is perfect.....even a Rolls, Bently or Benz. I've seen several Lexus' with similar issues. Geeze!!!!

I wouldn't say FUSSY, I'd say DISAPPOINTED. The TL is the 1st car that I've purchased over 25K. Out of all the cars I've own NEW the TL has had the most problems. So many rattles that I traded in my '05 NBP for a '06 ASM. Not to mention the dealer damaging it twice.

My previous new cars...

89 Caviler
90 Dodge Shadow, the biggest piece of shit I've ever own. ES doesn't mean sport. I had it for 2 months.
91 GTI
93 Civic
97 Civic
00 Altima SE
03 Altima
03 Maxima SE 6spd used
05 TL
06 TL

Thanks.

Thanks a lot.

You guys are killing me. I'd never noticed this imperfection on my 2005 until I read this thread. Yes, it's there. Now you have me on hyperalert looking for fit/finish problems, listening for rattles, and generally going crazy. Great.

Know what's funny? I still love my car.
