Please help!!!

I noticed a vibrational rattle in the dashboard. It only does it if I accelerate. I read on some threads people having the same problem. But when I took the car to the dealer they told me they couldn't find anything wrong with the car. I know I'm not crazy, so can anybody tell me what exactly is wrong so I can tell the dealership.

sounds like it's coming from behind the cd player. I don't have nav. It's freakin annoying as hell.

Did you test drive with a service guy? I had to do that to fix my rear deck rattle. I intentionally drove over bumpy roads.

Good luck.

PS) I now have the same rattle you have. I pretty much gave up on fixing all these rattles.

Check the center speaker rattle problem, and then check your sun visor. I noticed today that the vanity mirror cover hits the vanity light. When you lug the engine or go over bumps you hear a rattle that sounds like it is coming from the dash. Pull the visor down a little so it is not flat against the headliner. See if that elimimates the noise.

Also, check the 2 doors covering the center console storage areas below the radio. My top door vibrates when closed, depending upon engine RPM and road quality. When you hear the noise, open each door individually and see if the character changes. If these are solid, my bet is your center speaker is making noise, and if you search the forum you will find well detailed threads on dealing with it. Good luck.

I too have this now. It's like a clinking noise not a rattle. I brought in my car and dealer said it's from the rear-view mirron. They ordered it and will be replaced soon.

I remember when I first bought my car, after leaving it in the hot sun I'd hear this plastic clicky sound when I drove. Turns out it was that little piece of plastic behind the rear view mirror's holder. There's a little piece you can yank out that hides the wires for the mirror. Ever since I've adjusted it it's been okay, so that's kinda nice. But I think that might be what you're hearing.

Lore I always thought that this is coming from behind the leftside of CD player. And it felt more like a metal than plastic. I dunno what dealer is upto but let's see if this fixes it. Also, this is very rare and does not annoy me that much. Honoring muphy's law, never appears when service guy is present so I think they still do not know what I'm talking about.
