i have a 05 tl. and the OEM ballast blew on my car. i am interested in upgrading to a aftermartket hid kit now. i was looking for peoples opinions on what kind to get and personal opinions on what color output to get. i have a NBP and i am already running 3K hid setup for the fogs. please help me i am looking to purchase a kit ASAP..

 

Honestly aftermarket kits are all downgrades. The best aftermarket kits use OE ballasts and bulbs, which is what you have now. If I were you I would use either ebay or car-part.com to locate a new ballast that matches your other ballast. Ballasts run about $100 each. If you would like a more "purple color" just buy new bulbs with a higher kelvin rating. The highest I would personally recommend would be 5000k. Just remember as the K number goes higher, the less light output you have. So 10000K bulbs for example are very pink/purple but have terrible light output.
