Veil Headlight Application
Veil Headlight Application
Has anyone tried those headlight applications that supposedly block the light from police laser guns?? http://www.laserveil.com
I guess the headlamps have a light gray tint, until the product is removed... but it isn't supposed to reduce light output.
What do you think? Would you apply it to your TL?

I just watched the video. Did you notice when the car was coming toward the gun he kept it aimed at the headlight of the car? Don't you think that is a little obvious? What if the officer decides to aim at the bumper, hood or windshield?

As mentioned on it's own it's useless, especially if you have a front plate (a mirror to laser).
Veil will give you some improvement when paired with jammers, but on it's own it is completely ineffective and WILL reduce your light output because it is still tinting the lense to make the surface more diffuse.
If laser enforcement is heavy enough in your area and you want to speed then I would say to make the investment in laser jammers. There is no guarantee that they will work 100% of the time, but if you think it's enough of an issue then just being able to get 3-4 seconds of time to slow down may be enough.

I could not agree more with that statement.
Sunday I got lazered 3 times, according to my V1, I started to slow down thinking its a done deal. He still sat there, I wasnt going that fast but it was fast enough where I thought for sure he was going to come and get me.
Veil paired with a good active laser jammer works very well...let me know if anyone gets a can because that stuff is expensive and i'll buy the rest that you don't use...I think it is a c note and a half for a can and 1 can treats like a dozen+ cars.
after being a while on http://www.radardetector.net and all the tests and reviews, it seems that k40 is complete waiste of money and doesnt work

Guysoflidar.com has some very good tests and reviews of products that go strictly by numbers, covers all of the current active jammers, veil results, radar detectors, etc.
They do multiple tests under multiple conditions which give you a good idea of overall product performance, but it takes some understanding to know what the numbers mean.
I personally run a Blinder M25 system, and I've heard good things (still unconfirmed) about the new M27 system. If you look at the numbers you can see these devices are certainly not impervious, and the Laser Interceptor is the best product out there if budget isn't an issue, but it is more than 2X the price of a blinder system. The blinder system is good against most guns, enough to give you some alert and at least a few hundred feet of slowing distance/warning before you're going to get punch through.
Making sure they're correctly installed and in an ideal position is also a must, and protecting your reflective points (front plate/headlights) will make a big difference. Headlights are bad, but the front plate is effectively a giant square mirror to a laser gun. Leaving it completely exposed is just asking for any countermeasures you put on to be reduced in effectiveness.
