I was sitting on the throne for a minute and a thought came to my head about a flux capacitor, but then a better idea came to mind..... Plasti-dip makes a clear coat spray, would it be possible to use that as a cheaper alternative than the 3m di-noc cover or even an actual car bra ?

I'm sure a regular can of plasti can be used for temporary needs like AutoX instead of the blue or green tape. But I'm debating about wear and tear on the plasti when used day for day for daily driving.

Now that I got that off my chest it's back to the drawing board on that flux capacitor.

Oops guess I'm not the genius I thought I was, it's in the FAQ on the site. Ok mods can close this thread if they so choose to

I thought about doing this very thing on my new aspec front lip. I have a can of the clear and it seems like it would work. That is a pretty cool website, I was on there a couple of weeks ago thinking about painting my work car with the stuff they have. Good luck and let us know what you do.

from the video's i've seen, when you tape it off you need to pull the tape before it fully dries that way it doesn't dry up on the tape and end up ripping when you have to remove the tape. just keep that in mind if you do the lip !

Correct, I have plasti dipped a lot of things and that seems the best way I have done it. I have accidentally let it dry before and an edge here or there came up.
