I Just....

Traded in my 5AT TL-S for a 6MT!!

Was just browsing for used cars and came up with a new listed 6MT TL-S black-on-black. Went over to the dealer later that evening and did the paperwork. Yeah, I ended up paying a little more then I should have but these cars are very rare, and it being black-on-black (my favorite combo) I couldn't pass it up.

I will post up pics. BTW my passanger side seat seems to be more yellow, is there any way to clean it or will I need to get it replaced?

Congrats! Less miles on the 6MT than what you traded in?

No, about 10k more but is great condition and was certified.

Night and day IMO. The car feels like a real sports car now, pulls in every gear. I really like the off-the-line performance, which sucked in the auto.

You should notice a pretty nice difference. You're dealing with a lot less drive train loss in a the manual compared to the Auto.

I though you said that "MT Type S doesn't feel that much different than the 05 TL"

I test drove an 08 TL with me driving and rode with my friend test driving an 08 type-s 6MT almost back to back. Did this on two different occasions but with me driving the 2nd time around the 6mt. The difference was there for sure.

the MT is pulling hard on 3rd and 4th gear from 80mph to 125mph is amazing, so much for the AT got stuck with slow a$$ 4th gear lol.

6MT's are nice...but I don't think I would trade in my car for one just for the simple fact that I'd be in a loan for another 5 more years...i'm all set lol

^^ If you traded in you'd have a much bigger down payment and payments wouldn't be so bad, maybe even get a 3-4 year contract.

I should have got a 6MT to begin with, but they were very, very hard to find...after the $$ I put in mine I wouldn't even consider this, but if it works for you
