Planning on getting an A-Spec kit

Hi,

I was planning on buying an A-spec lip kit for my 05 TL and was wondering what the usual price range for it is and where is the best site/store to purchase them. I'm sorry if this question comes up a lot but I wasn't able to find any answers.

I have a 3G AM 05' TL.

Thanks!

Endless RPM? I got my front A Spec from the dealer because they were able to price match. But I don't know if Anthracite Metallic is still available?

I also plan to purchase an A Spec kit in AM for my 06' soon. Probably going to order from Endless RPM if my dealership won't price match (doesn't hurt to ask). If they don't have it in AM, I think I'll purchase it anyways and then wrap the whole car including the new A Spec kit.

Yeah, I saw them on endlessrpm for around $297. I also see them on heeltoeauto as well. Around $295, pretty much the same price range. So the A-spec kit looks to be around $900 not including tax+shipping I'm assuming.

Front Lip - $297
Rear - $297
Sideskirts - $299

Anyone know of any other sites with better pricing and with the AM color painted?

Hope you get that price match, let me know if they agree to do it for you.

Also, if you're looking to vinyl wrap your car, I have a buddy that's starting his wrapping business West LA and might be able to give you a good price. Let me know and I can shoot the details over to you.

You might want to contact them directly. Call your local Acura dealer and see if they can get their hands on it.

Thanks for the offer Sonny, however, I will be trying my own hands at this project. My only problem is that my trunk lid has a slight dent in it (it's along the edge of the trunk lid next to my driver side tail light) and I'm not sure if I should try banging it out or if I should just buy a whole new trunk lid all together.

I feel like banging it out will be too much trouble though. What would you guys do?

I'd use body filler

I looked into 3M's Bondo.. However, do I really need to sand down my paint to apply it? And when sanding down the body filler, what is the best way to avoid scratching the original paint around it?

Yes, you need to allow bondo to bond to the metal.

About the original paint, I wouldn't be concerned with the paint around it.
You'll cover with vinyl wrap, plus if you ever decide to remove the wrap, you should have a body shop paint the trunk anyway.

How well does vinyl adhesive apply to the sanded down metal surface as opposed to the OEM paint? It has to stick to the Bondo as well so I'm also wondering.. Will the different surfaces affect the way Avery wraps over the once dented area? (Given that the surface is evenly sanded down).
