LOL! How about DARWINNR? - Just hope that should you get into an accident and the Insurance company somehow "learns" of that post.....POOF, no insurance due to intentionally filing fraudulent paperwork. Remember, what you put on the internet is "public domain" meaning that anyone anytime could simply google all your posts to BBS's like this and find this type of details. Not terribly brilliant on your part to place it here. Doing it is one thing (and you can probably get away with it even after an accident) but posting on a public forum that you deliberately mis-lead your insurance company is welll...darwin award-ish... Kinda like "Here's a loaded gun (fraud). Now, you never want to place something like this in your mouth (forum post) but as long as you don't pull the trigger (i.e. get in a wreck) you'll be OK. However, If you happen to....BLAM! (he got in a wreck and the insurance company found this thread and now he is DEAD meat). Maybe you could ask one of the mods here to simply delete this entire thread so that you won't be (possibly) incriminating yourself in the future...

Hey hoopz87,

There is another member on this forum, who had BLACKURA on his plates. I think "Blacura" is a bit close to that...

Dude there a million and 1 thing you can put on your plates. I have
NBP-TL PA plates.
Also about the insurance i will advise to change your license to NC and change few bills to arrive at your dad location. just to cover your butt.

Hoopz,

Where did you TITLE the car?

My friends in NC moved from Florida a few years back and let me know they ran into a small problem when they registered their 2-3 year old car. They paid the taxes in Florida when they bought the car. I'm not sure if I am getting this 100% correct, but they said each year, they now have to pay property tax on the current value of the vehicle. So they were going to get double dinged on TAX since they already paid it in Florida. I wasn't sure if N.C. would give them a pass or a credit based on the tax they already paid.

I'm not 100% positive, but that's how I understood it. I'm not sure if that is a "registration or plate renewal" tax or just plain property tax. Yearly renewal might be extra.

Just a heads-up. Please let me know if I am way off.

Just be aware that in NC, the plates go with the person and not the car so that when you get a new car, you'll probably want to get new plates again (unless it's another black acura).
