PCV valve

Just a heads up for anyone looking for a simple fix for a bunch of issues. I bought my 05 with 130k a few months ago, and it’s felt very sluggish and leaks from the rear main seal. I changed the PCV valve with an OEM Honda one a few days ago and it performs like a different car. It actually spun the tires on launch today and it looks like the leak has drastically slowed. The old valve was completely stuck shut. It’s a literal one minute replacement and cost about $30. Hope this helps someone!

I have the same year and mileage. I do a PCV valve check during oil changes. I've heard that the factory o-rings fuse to the block and are a real PITA to remove. Did you have any issue removing the the old PCV valve?

No sir, no issue as far I can tell. The old valve came out easily and the new one went in without any interference. Probably the easiest job I’ve done on this car. I’m pretty sure it was the original valve since I’ve got all the service records from new.
