Passenger side temperature/auto button lights are out

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I just went through every single DIY for lighting (Section G) in the 3G Garage and I cannot find anything that shows how to replace the bulbs in the passenger side temperature/auto buttons.

I don't even want to replace them with LEDs.. Just replace the bulb(s) with the OEM ones, since they are currently out.

I would not go to dealer unless absolutely necessary. They charged me $60 to replace two bulbs on the steering wheel. I regret that decision.

From: is everything.
It involves removing the upper radio display to get to them. Look up the DIY for radio removal and follow that. The bulbs just pop in the back of the buttons. And by upper display I do not mean the clock.

If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be to replace ALL of your dash bulbs while you are in there.

Those little guys are very tempramental, and even with just the movement/force of installing and uninstalling the dash area could make another one blow - and then your back to where you are started.

All of the bulbs for that area you can get for a total of 35 or so $ on oem acura parts.com. Also, id grab the seat heater bulbs as well - those blew on me when I first took the dash apart, but luckily they arent as involved as the other dash bulbs. Hope this helps!

Oh, and I forgot - the dealer will charge an hours labor for this - about 100$ - do it yourself - learn something new - and best of all - profit from it!

This is true. I just replaced 8 dash bulbs in my car. After that they all should have worked, but I'll be damned if two other different bulbs were out afterwards. Can't win for loosing.

They are called T3 Neo-Wedge LED Bulbs. You can get them here:
http://autolumination.com/74.htm
or here:

Which do we use? The 8,10, or 12mm?

Scroll about halfway down the autolumination page for the Type A (T3) units. There are several to choose from.
V-LEDs calls them T3.

Wait. So the LED bulbs on Autolumination/V-LEDs are direct swap plug and play (no soldering required) for all the regular bulbs in the center console and steering wheel?

Are all the bulbs in the steering wheel the same size as the ones in the center console (Type A or T3)?

Add on: I'm bringing up an old thread only because the bulbs behind the driver side temperature switches are now dead as well.

Judging by this, I guess the answer is no... It'd be nice to have a blown up diagram of all the bulb part numbers required for the steering wheel and center console..

Those bulbs in the link are the filament bulbs. I am talking about LED bulbs.
Read the multiple threads in the 3G Service Center, Section G (link above post #7)

Does it matter which of the Type A bulbs I get from the first link?

Check out this thread. I'm not brave enough to tackle this one yet, but I want to.

Is this correct: So even with the LED lights (from AutoLumination or V-LEDs), there still would be soldering required.

You could just send me your radio and have me install one of my handy-dandy LED boards.

OK. Lots of different stuff flying around here.
FIRST: This has all been written about in the series of threads in the 3G Garage. Everyone with questions needs to go there and read. The section is divided up into different sections of the car which you may be concerned with.
SECOND: The articles describe a few different methods of tackling replacing the filament bulbs with LEDs. The earlier methods attempted involved soldering. Lately, other options have surfaced, including DeathMetal's custom LED board for the radio and the vendor T3 bulbs. Whether you are replacing the filament bulbs with OEM or LED, there is good info in the threads.
THIRD: To get the best results, you will have to use some of each technique in different locations. You just can't get around that requirement---some of those switches have screwy angles and you need to bend the bulbs to point the correct direction. See threads by DeathMetal, Roger555 and others.
FINALLY: To OP's specific questions---for the temperature controls you can use the T3 bulbs which are a direct plug in to that specific location. There are other areas in the car where they are well-suited, too.
