My passenger side ORVM seems kind of "iffy" while tilting when I engage the reverse gear. Would this be covered under warranty? My car will be 5 years in Sept 2013.

I don't think it would still be covered. You can certainly ask the dealer to look at it.

The TL came with a standard four year 50,000 mile base warranty, 6 year 70,000 mile drive train warranty, and 5 year unlimited mileage rust warranty.

The mirror mechanism is pretty basic, just a bit of work to dismantle, so maybe not too bad a fix.

 

there's a easy fix DIY

basically pop the mirror out and grease it.
