is it possible retain functionality of every button (MID, handsfree, cruise, radio) and swap out the steering wheel??

the 3spoke design annoys me cuz i can't stick my hand down low in the middle and cruise on highway.....

 

I found this, where someone put an 07 wheel in an 04 and had to re-wire the buttons. There is no MID button on the 04-06 wheels so that wont work.
