Oil Level
Burning
Sometimes new engines tend to burn oil for the first 1,000 miles or so. I know with S2000's some burned up to a quart or more withing first 1,000 miles. So just keep your eyes on it. Engines take time to settle in.
Was it "full" when you took delivery?
I also would not be concerned if you are perhaps a 1/2 quart down in 3000+ miles. Ask what the tolerance is. You would be surprised what the mfg will tell you the normal range is in terms of miles per quart. I don't think you would even get their attention unless you were burning a quart in 1500 miles, and until a few thousand miles would tell you to "wait and see".

rets, I believe this is normal. Just wanted to post for reference and to remind folks to check their dipsticks. Maybe this has something to do with the engine-check light coming on for some folks.
pbm317, I guess I'll be adding a quart or so before my first oil change.
erikmoeser, Yes it was full when I took delivery.

Thanks. My oil level is ok, and it seems pretty fine at 4600 now. I think my check engine light is related to the sensors or transmission 'cause it only lights while revving over 5k RPM.
