Oil Change

1st question:

Do you guys know how it works if you want to get your oil changed at like a Jiffy Lube? They won't be able to reset the "Service Light" thing that tells you when your oil life is up, right?

2nd question:

I have a Honda dealership closer to me. Will they do the oil change?

Thanks all...

1. You can reset the MID using the following procedure located here.
2. Yes, they should. Give 'em a call. Let's see, Carmichael Honda, right? There's Niello Acura (don't know much about their service dept.) or EG Acura.

I dont like Neillo service department, they seem a little lost.

Its easy to reset the oil life, Jiffy Lube should be able to figure that out.

subinf, I take it you've had servicing done there before? I haven't been there so I really can't comment on them. Where do you usually go to?

When I was living in Davis I took my car there for some warranty work. They were really nice about everything but were unorganized when it came to actually ordering parts, calling people back, and creating a service record.

After I graduated I moved back to the Bay Area and have Marin Acura deal with all my warranty work. I tend to avoid dealerships.

I'm sure my experience at Niello isnt typical but they made a very bad impression on me.

edit: I hope you were asking about the service department at niello and not about my jiffy lube response.
