Oil Catch Can

Oil Catch Can
Does the TL have a PCV Valve? If so, wouldn't that require an Oil Catch Can? My 2005 Altima needed an oil catch can to reduce the amount of sludge going back into the engine through the IM. I searched everywhere on the 3rd Gen forums, but no mention of this. My friend wants to keep his Type S running for a long time, and wasn't sure if he needed one. Thanks in advance.

Yes the tl has a positive crankcase ventilation valve. But not really sure the maintenance schedule on these, i dont think they have to be maintained as much as the ones on older vehicles. About the oil catch can not really sure.

I've searched through the entire parts catalog, and the only reference to the PCV system is found in the "breather tube" section. #1 pictured below is listed as "Tube, PCV" It connects to the passengers side of the intake manifold and travels downward. #5 is the fresh air intake for the PCV system from the intake tube (before the throttle body). If you follow the #1 tube on your car, you will find the PCV valve, and beyond that a catch can if the motor has one. I'm guessing there is a catch can down there somewhere, but you never know.
