Noob looking get a 2006 TL, need opinions

Need some assistance on the "deal" below. I'm new here so be gentle.

The car is a 2006 TL with NAV and the performance tire package.

It has 13,677 miles on it and it is showroom clean.

They are extending the warranty by 12 months and 12,000 miles.

Edmunds has the dealer price at $29,428. The dealship is asking $29,999.

The TTL total works out to $31,599 OTD.

I'm trading my POS 1997 Cadillac Catera that is ready to die. They wanted to give me $1400 but I got them up to $2600. So... the true OTD price is 29 even with my trade.

Will I have better luck taking my car out of the deal and negotiating for the car or leave the POS in there?

I doubt I will be able to get $2500 for my car in it's present condition.

Any thoughts that will help me decide to buy this?

Talk them down, you can get an 08 TL new for 33K OTD, so they should be doing better than the 31.5K OTD. Tell them that the car model is already 2 years old, and notice and scraches, dents and stuff and tell them to reduce the price due to it. Also open the hood and check the screws at the edges to see they are painted and not nicked in any way. If they are, the front fenders have been removed. Test drive a Brand new TL at another dealership then test drive this one to make sure that it is in good condition vs. a new TL. You can talk them down a bit more and if not, tell them you will accept the price if they throw in the following:

A-Spec bodykit
A-Spec suspension
A-Spec Rims
A-Spec Wing or LIP
All-season mats
trunk tray
wheel-locks
or any other accessories that may intrest you. The A-Spec kit is a kit made by Acura for the TL (suspension, rims, bodykit, steeringwheel, etc.) and is more if you want a sportier look and firmer ride (suspension)

sell em the Catera, but you can get a better deal on an 05 with a bit more miles (think 25-26k) i think someone on here is selling their 05.

Ask them to print out the "wholesale" price sheet from KBB. The Edmunds price is good but this is a 2006 and they are selling 2008s. They will want to move this car. I just bought one exactly like yours. I offered to buy it for 28K before TTL after they had just lowered it to $29,700.
Your car is Cetified Pre-Owned so it has the added warranty--don't buy any other extended warranty, LoJack or other stuff you don't need.

Update:

I pulled my car off the table and negotiated to $28,950.

How that?

Given the miles and wheels/tires (assuming they have some tread), it's pretty good.

I still think it's a bit pricey for an '06. they're saying 29k9 only to make it sound cheap, but after all is said and done, you'll be paying about 31k if not more. get them down to at least 27k

How will it be 31K? The 28,900 is the out the door price including all taxes, title and licensing..
