New Tl Up In This Camp!!

04 SSM w/Navi. I have finally arrived. I love this whip. It is mad hot. 270 hp, DVD-Audio 5.1 surround sound, Bluetooth for my Treo 650, Voice Command, 8" Navi. I am picking up a lot of tips here on this forum and It is wild what people with a budget and imagination can think of to do to a car. Since I'm lacking in both Departments (LOL), my first mod will be the shaved door handle, then tint (I know Cheeeaapppp!!!), but when you have to bang out $625/Mo for a note, that doesn't leave ya boy much room to play. But one day soon, some rims, a-spec kit, a DVD plaver conversion kit, a amp Sub-woofer and speakers all around, and then I'll probably get under the hood and do some things. Glad to be here and looking forward to giving and receiving some good tips and ideas.

welcome aboard!

Shaved door handles are not cheap (at least when done right).

I think it would be better to start with something else like the A-Spec kit... im sure it would not be more expensive than shaving the handles!

Shaved door handles as in all shaved, no-more-handle-on-the-door shaved or the $8 version?

Not having any door handle would be odd looking considering the line running across the car.

Damn, I feel like one of the Boys (No offense female TLers). Thanks, to all. My peoples, I mean shaved door handles as in that $13.00 version. Like, I said, "lack-o-funds" is the new candy bar that I eat, for now. Also, my baby is a 5MT (I think that's how youz guyz abbreviate it). As you can tell by me accent that I am originally from NYC. Queens to be exact. I moved all the way to Atlanta, to buy a TL so It would not have to endure the crater sized speed bumps, ..........oops, I mean man holes for Godzilla. JFA, I moved here for all the damn women!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and now with a TL, you know what time it is. Once again Thanks everyone. BTW, won't bother posting a PIC until, I do something to it, handle, tint, etc........... besides one SSM TL, looks just like another.......TIL YOU TWEAK THAT BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've actually considered moving to Atlanta for that exact reason. Isn't it something like 6/1 ratio?

Congratulations on your purchase.

It is? I must not be in the right places then.

And ZELL22, I think you mean 5AT for Automatic Transmission. And we have potholes here as well . . . probably not as many as NYC.

Jim, just listen harder, you'll hear it. And Juronimo, the ratio is like 11/1. So pack your bags and get rollin, b/c if you don't that's just means more for me. And Mn2trance you need to drive with me in Queens, (in your TL of course) and you will come to appreciate the potholes here.

Congrats!! Yo, if you got low funds, and what to make the ride look clean, you should consider these low budget mods:

1. DE BADGE THAT BAD BITCH!!! It looks so clean on the 3G (Third Gen) TLs. All it takes is some Goo-Gone, Dental Floss, and patience/elbow grease.

2. License plate frame: always a nice touch IMO. A subtle, Chrome frame will do the trick. Go to eBay and type in "Acura license frame" and you'll see some nice results. I like the chrome frames with the "brushed" lettering. I'd recommed one that says "Acura TL" or "Acura". I have one that says 3.2 TL Type S.

/Have gotten complements on it
//You best de-Badge that car
