New TL - Type S for now, A5 in 60 days
I ordered a Audi A5 in December but couldn't wait until March 08, so I bought a 08 TL- Type S - DWP with A-Spec kit, to hold me over. I always wanted this car. Paid $33,500 +$1k for the kit and 4.9% financing, so I shouldn't lose too much in a couple of months. Love the car but I see about 10 every day. I was going to buy some 20's but i'll save it for the Audi.

Sorry I couldn't resist that, but enjoy your new cars!

You can't swing a dead cat around here without hitting a handful of BMW, MB's, TL's and Lexi.
TL-S, not so much.

second, why would you do that? why not buy a used car, for a few months, and/or take the rest of the money and deposit it or invest it?
You then could re-sell the used car and make some of the money back?
is this a fake poster?

Good luck with the A5.

The most I've seen here is 3 in the same bank parking lot. My MRP, WDP and NBP.
I just don't understand why the OP would even go through all the financing hassle to have a car for a few months.
I guess it doesn't really matter, obviously he won't be missing the loss.

I live in Houston, TL type S everywhere(not with body kits though) 5 grand isn't a lot when you invest in cars because it will depreciate anyways. Financially.. obviously doesn't make sense, but a car has never been an investment for me, it's the value I get when I ride in it. Sometimes worth more..sometimes less.

Korrupted, when you really want something and you have a lot of $$$ I guess you can make such a poor financial decision.
My lease on my FX was over in September, I was going crazy trying to extend it till December, I got lucky I was able to, and in the mean time I was shopping for a TLS....
Korrupted which part of Crooklyn you are in? I'm in sheepshead.

$5,000 for 60 days? If I really did have that choice of wasting 5K without thinking about them, I would go rent a freaken Lambo or Ferrari for week, and abuse the crap out of it....nah...probably will buy new pc.
To the OP, in way I agree with you, you do live only once! But, man, $5K and a hassle of selling the TLS....60 days pleasure riding? your choice of course....
I had my 08TLS for a month now, and I'm only now getting to "know" it

Ha ha...
I just ordered my GT-R... but my 2006 Supercharged TL was showing some miles, so I donated it to a veterans charity. I just picked up a new 2008 TL-S to hold me over until summer. I know I'll take a multi thousand dollar loss, but that's OK, I piss money, and that'll compensate.
I know it's a bad financial move, but that's what makes America great, poor financial decsions, and over extending my credit is how we roll today. The economy's strong, and loans are cheap...
...
Uh oh.

This guy set him up for this.....It could be true and it's great to have the extra cash. I think I can say this from everyone here, nobody wants to hear you brag that you bought a TL as a mear 2 month toy until your other toy comes in. A lot of us here are financially well off but the ones who flaunt it, are the one's who spends a lot of time alone. Just my 2 cents....

EVERYBODY on the internet says they paid thousands less than they actually DID. I would expect a reasonable price for an 08 to be between $35.5K and 37.5K depending on where you live...
The market is different EVERYWHERE and a deal in city "A" does not always equal city "B"... just do the best YOU can, for your area and availability.

But I guess we shouldn't judge people, because it is their money they are spending.
I'm next door to you, Gravesend. I think I saw you on McDonald and 86th. There's another WDP floating around Bensonhurst.
