New TL-S Owner

Two great things happened to me recently. First, I bought a 2008 TL-S and second, I found Acurazine. This place is GREAT!

Details:
2008 Acura TL Type S
Carbon Bronze Pearl
24,000 miles
Auto Trans
Certified with warranty to 2015 or 100K
New front pads
All weather mats and trunk liner (plus original carpets that are like new)
1 owner local car no accidents/clean Carfax
Body straight with no dings
Price: $26500

I'm very happy with it. It rides very nice and gets a lot of looks. Oh, and the performance is outstanding (although the torque steer is a bit annoying).

Any opinions on whether this was a decent deal?

very nice deal.
i bought my '06 for $23k OTD last year with 31K miles.

Congrats.

I have about the same Horsepower as you, and have found that a good summer tire will get rid of torque steer. Make sure your tires are in good shape.

All I can say is that the torque steer isnt nearly as bad in the A/T as it is in the 6MT. Maybe I am just used to fwd cars with a little power, but I don't hardly notice it anymore.

Maybe my tires are decent tho, I'll have to see what kind I have....

Yeah I noticed virtually no torque steer whatsoever on my automatic TL-S. It wasnt until I purchased a 6mt Type S that I really found out what torque steer is. I dont know what makes the cars so different but damn its pretty crazy trying to fight that steering wheel lol.

Congrats on the purchase I love CBP!!!

Congratz ! Nice deal on a very nice car. CBP was my alternate choice for color if I could not find a silver one. I could never find one in a manual with a Silver /Ebony interior.
What color interior did u get ?

less drivetrain loss.
Dont know how much TL-S 6MT puts down to the front wheels, but its significantly more than 230.

the auto TL-S and base 6MT put down 230hp to the front wheels.

Congrats on your TL-S. Register it at www.myacura.com and store your Navi and Radio codes there for safe keeping.

Yes, that's when I really notice it. I don't notice it at any other time which just means I need to get a sticker on the dash that says, "hold on" when I decide to really hit the gas!

Welcome Hazzard-you'll love your Type S (and Acurazine!).

in the lower right hand corner of each post, you'll see 3 icons. The middle icon allows you to quote multiple postings in a thread. It makes your quotes look like above. That way, you don't have to answer 3 people in 3 different threads.

Cheers!

Thanks for the tip. I didn't realize that!

Yes, I really like the color with those rims. And I also like that those rims hide a bit of the fast developing brake dust. I may have to change the pads to a little less dusty option that I've seen mentioned here.

Black and bronze ?
Are the seats tan looking solid color or are theyblack with silver running down the middle ? There are only two interior colors on the Type S.

I was thinking it looked a bit bronze down the middle but I guess it's the silver. Black and silver.
