I know people have switched out there TL tails for modded type S' ones with a combination of both but i was thinking, What if the regular TL tails' were painted black for the inside? Might look a litttle different done but I tried a photoshop and looked pretty good in my opinion. All opinions/suggestions welcome. Thinking about trying this?

Oh and I hope who ever's car this is doesnt mind me using it!

Nice chop... Mine are in the works! Crack em' open (stock 04 tails), paint all the chrome black, and the put back together...

^ Actually I didn't end up getting those particular tails, I got them locally...

ive thought about doing this too, but i dont think the difference will be that dramatic since the lens is a very thick red. if the lens was more of a transparent red, then it would look more like the photochop.

Looks pretty good. Maybe you could put the paint on the outside. Make a trial run with black electricians tape.

i used the tint and cut it out...it looked nice....but i ended up buyin the TL-S and just took the tint off my TL. its much easier to tint it and then cut it out....but i think it looks good just tinted....or plain....your taste i guess.

it depends what color TL you have.. on a blue TL like the one you used, not so great.
on a black or white one, awesome.
