I was perusing the Sarona website today to re-consider spending the $$$ on a Sarona roof spoiler, and I noticed that they no longer have that horrible body kit that they used to have advertised for the 3G TL, but they do have 2 new kits that are only front and rear lips, and look exactly like the Acura OEM ones.

I'm not sure that link works, but just plus in Acura TL 2008 and show all parts, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Just figured everyone might like to know.

I would imagine it to be highly illegal.. they are using images of YOUR car to sell THERE product. Which isn't even there product to begin with.. If it was me I would contact them and say something about it

And here I thought Sarona made a front lip in the bast style that fit the type-s without modification...and it turns out to just be someone on A-zine who did that! What a surprise!

They are pretty near from where I bought my TL but I never seen them. I wonder how much they charge for installation on the a spec lip?

To my understanding, $800 is around the going rate for A-Spec kits.

Looks to me like Sarona's just buying the kits & re-selling them as their own. I may just send this in to my dealer as that can't be legal.

Well Sarona is using pictures of his ride for their own profit. I would be pissed and I would speak to the lawyer asap. If it was only a picture and they were just showing his ride in an article then ok but they're using his car as marketing their company.

$800 is the going rate, but with side skirts. Sarona's website says that this kit is ONLY the front and back.

Same thing happened with my brother with his homebuilt airplane. It was an add for something he did not endorse or even have. He was pissed.

He complained and I think they removed the pic but he got nothing else out of it.

It's not illegal unless you post "All images are the property of....and may not....blah blah". Wording varies by state and case basis. Or you can copyright your images. However, acurazine probably has their own image posting rules (which I'm not looking up) and whether you give up the rights to said images upon posting. Either way, you can still call up Sarona and tell them to at least throw in a freebie.
