ya the passenger side bumper looks odd. But at least they do have a type-S bumper in the pic.

the silver TL-S has the lip photoshopped on.

however the ad links you to the 07+base where it has the actual product mounted on a yellow bumper.

Looks just like the same lip that an old member did in the past here on Azine like 5-8 years ago.

I’m going to order it and hopefully get it installed this weekend if it shows up on time. I’ll report back then.

Do we have yellow bumpers? When they come from Honda, they are flat black. And I ahve never seen a yellow TL. haha

$107 shipped isn’t bad if it fits well. I’ll do a mock up and if doesn’t look good, I’ll eat the restock fee and return it no big deal. I paid $70 for a STI V-Lip on my TSX a few years back and had to trim it to fit so if this fits the factory bumper it’s well worth it. I’m really only worried about the potential gap along the center section of the bumper, I have a feeling I won’t be pleased unless a lip sits flush along the entire bumper and not just the sides. The images with the yellow bumper also show this gap so we’ll see..

The Charge Speed lip is made WITH that gap. Google images for the Charge Speed WRX. A past member here had it on his car too.

I'm not a fan of the gap either. A TL at TunerEvo Charlotte this past week had the STI V lip and it looked good but there was also a gap in the middle section of the Aspec lip.

I've been looking at this one. It's a little more aggressive but there isn't any gap. This video sold me on it. At around 1:51 you can see a good shot of the fitment

I tried a STI lip once.. The STI is not as wide as the TL and the TL has a longer nose from tire to front tip nose. To say you have to Cut it is an understatement. Then try to get it to lay up flat, and evenly around the car, and stretch it..
It didnt work for me.
Trashed it!

Yeah I bought the V-Lip long before it was popular... The version I got was really flat/straight and not curved. Didn't want to deal with it so I sold it too lol

too much hype on azine. Either that, or people dont want to admit they wasted money on it, so they try to make it sound ok.. then someone else buys into their mishap.

The Vlip was a good option and worked well on my TSX but like others have mentioned I don’t think it’ll work with the wider TL bumper.

On another note tracking number shows the new “CS style” lip is out for delivery now.

So I got the lip mounted and installed last Sunday. I'm not entirely happy with it, but not for the reasons previous mentioned. I actually don't mind the gap along the center section of the bumper, rather the outside of the lip that mounts to the outside of the bumper looks a little "off" to me. I wish the lines where a little cleaner for that OEM+ look. Also if your looking at the car the right/center section of the lip arrived bent and didn't mount properly. I'll try to heat up the PU and remount the right side a little further back this weekend to see if it helps any.

Bend in the lip.

not bad. I like the front. The sides need to be a little more tapered. or no flare.. are you keeping it? Not sure if it can be modified and painted..?

Haven't decided yet, if I can get the center section to straighten out and sit like the left side does I may keep it or at least give it time to see if grows on me.
You can paint it if you wanted, I've had previous PU lips painted before.

I kinda like the challenge. I once had to perform quite a bit of surgery to an aftermarket 928S lip to get it to even attach to the car, then more to get the gaps down. How bad can these lips be?*

I like my aspec w/ spliiter. But at the end of the day all that matters is what YOU like. Clean ride bud!

But (maybe you know) the aspec front can still be purchased new from Acura, but only in white or black
