First off id like to introduce myself my name is John. 25 years of age. Live in Arkansas. Just picked up my first tl. Before this car I owned a 2005 Honda accord v6. From what I heard the accord and tl is almost like brother and sister car. But id like to learn some info about my tl as I go.

My question. The car has 119k miles on it. I flushed out all fluids already and replaced timing belt. Do I need to do anything else? I plan on keeping this car for a while and don't want to have any major problems. I do know these honda motors are built to last. But I have no idea how the previous owner treated this car.

When I did my 120k service with the timing belt and such, I had my water pump replaced as well as the serpentine belt I believe. Besides that I checked the spark plugs and that was it!

Does your accord v6 feel more peppier and faster than your TL? My moms 07 sedan v6 accord and to me the accord feels alot more responsive and torquier than the TL from leaving a stop sign or red light. Also the brake pedal in the accord is a lot more stiff and responsive, while my TL feels pretty spongy in comparison.

Maybe I just need a brake flush and bleed the system? I swear the brakes on the accord give me whip lash in comparison to my 08 TL

 

Welcome John. Have you checked/ changed your cabin and engine air filter?

 

you can replace 3rd and 4th pressure switches if not done so.

How do the valves sound?? They may need adjusting.

 

My accord did feel a bit more powerful.... kinda. But tylenol again I haven't really tested out the tl yet.
