Hello all,

I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. (Also, apparently I need 5 posts before I can search...)

Thanks for the reply! I'm actually trying to find out some info on tinting. From what I've been able to scrounge up so far, it seems that the TL comes at 75% from the factory. I don't know much about tint, but does this mean that I'd need to remove the factory tint before getting the windows tinted darker?

Thanks!
Rod

Welcome to AZ. There is tons a great information on here. As far as the factory tint, I believe the glass itself is tinted so there would be nothing to remove. I could be wrong tho. I bought my TL used and the previous owner had already put 30% on it.

The window already has a small amount of tint. So, you don't have to remove anything to have the windows tinted darker. Welcome to AZ, this site is awesome And congrats on your new TL, these CARS are awesome

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new TL.
As mentioned, the 3G Garage link is invaluable when researching any question you may have. There is lots of info on tinting and everything else. Search can be your friend---just remember to use quotation marks when using the search engine.
One more quick comment on tinting---stay away from metallic tints as they can interfere with the satellite navi and radio systems.
Enjoy your new car and new friends here on AZ.
