New to the community

What up fellas.

New to the AcuraZine community, My name is Josh, 29, live in utah going to school at Utah Valley University. Almost graduated so i gotta find a more professional, classy whip to mob. I was hecka into Honda's civics,(I know i know but im not your typical "ricer"..haha) I have built 3 pretty nice functional civics, all three relatively quick, w/ ea. one faster than the previous. My last one is a Milano Red 93 hatchback that ran high 9 seconds in the qt.mile. I'll post a picture of it if y'all interested.

Anyway I've fallen in love with the TL's, particularly 2004-2008, and it has to be white diamond pearl!!..sooo choice. I've scoped out a few on here that are real clean, and in my opinion built right in the way i would do it (King of Pain, dragncivic, SIK TL, and my favorite: Drvn2Modify- the 04' WDP he had or still has that is dumped on the flat black wheels...omg!!), but those are just a few of the many sick TL's on here. Looking to be a regular on here, hoping to learn a lot about these TL's, and to get one soon! Im selling my red hatch for a down payment on the TL. Any questions feel free to ask.
cya around
-Josh

I know you were "hecka" into Civics before but how did you manage to get down the 1/4 in 9 seconds without even a roll bar much less the required cage, long wheel studs, or electrical shut off?

Keep up us on how your search for a 3G TL goes Josh. You'll learn a lot here-the more time you spend on this site. And trust me-this place is addicting.....

Welcome Josh!

Good luck finding a TL. Like you, I've always loved Drvn2Modify's TL as well. Whenever you get your hands on a TL, start with the A-Spec kit and a drop.

Thanks for the welcoming comments, and a few of the hater ones..haha.. I'm used to those. IHC all i gotta say dude is the hatch didn't weigh more than 2000 lbs and on the dyno it pulled about 480 hp. Physics don't lie baby.

I'm not calling you out, but I've been kicked out time and time again at tracks where I was friends with the tech guys for not having the equipment to run 10s. 480hp and 2,000lbs is a low 10 second capable combo but has it hit the number?

Thanks. It's a money pit but fun when it runs.

Nice. You have a ton of mph, nice power for high altitude. What's your setup? I see the intercooler so I assume there's a snail under there.

I like how the car is clean but not riced out. I'm sure it's surprised lots of people.

Heck yeah dude, the motor is a B18C(JDM integra type R engine) fully built 9.0:1 compression, full comptech build on the head-9k redline. Precision 750 fmic, Garrett T3 turbo .57 trim .63 a/r (super fast spool), Peakboost ram-horn manifold, JDM lsd gsr tranny, Gator axles, Tial 44mm wastegate, Tial 50mm BOV...those are most of the performance mods. This car was a rocket. I never lost a race in it. Low boost was 14psi, and high boost was 24psi. Being able to break the tires loose at 85 mph is a awesome feeling.. Fastest thing i've probably ran with was a geared, piped, and tuned suzuki GSX-R 750 it was a highway run from 40 to about 150.. i pulled on him by about 2 cars. Fastest cars i've raced were a new supercharged Zo6?(sounded supercharged-it had a crazy whine to it.), but he was spinning through most of second walking it sideways..almost hit me..haha, but it sounded soo F'n sweet, we never really got a good run. Also on the way home from the dyno some Viper GTS wanted to play on the highway, those were the most fun cars to toy with ...nothing else even came close. It would be sweet to run against your GN..
