New Bluetooth phone & Remote Starter
Ok,
I'm almost ready to pull the trigger. I haven't driven the TL yet, but owning 3 accords, and really liking the feel of Hondas, I feel pretty secure the TL will be my next car after reading all these reviews.
I found a dealer willing to give me a good trade on my Accord, and $1k off MSRP, not too bad for just over email. I may be able to do even better in person with a check in my hand after a test drive.
So, I'm in the market for a new phone (and service) anyway, and the Ericsson P900 is due out, and looks like the grand daddy of smart phones. How are we to know if these new phones (and any not listed on Acura's site) are compatible with the TL's bluetooth handsfree system.
Also, has anyone put a remote car starter in theirs yet? I am very skeptical because when I bought my truck (2001 Silverado) and my wife'd 2002 escape, the installers totally screwed them up, really bad on the Escape because it was a new model, and they had no clue what they were doing.
Any info or luck in this area?
One more question. This may sound stupid, but driving for 30 minutes doesn't always give you the true feel of a car. Are there any dealerships that let you take a car overnight, or for a weekend? I'd really to "drive" it around like it was my car. I'm even willing to "rent" it if necessary, knowing that buying a car I eventually don't like will cost me more in the long run.
Thanks for the help...

my sales guy got yelled at by the manager for letting me go on a 30min test drive. apparently at that dealership, they're only supposed to let you test drive for 5mins. which is totally outrageous!

I talked to Joel Avery, the GM at Acura of Peabody. They don't have the color option I wanted (Anthracite/Ebondy) in Navi, but I might not be that picky if throw me a better deal. I do want the Navi though, no question. I'm going to head up there on Sat. and take one for a drive, but I am concerned about just getting a short spin in a $35k car. If they don't take good care of me I'll go to Acura of Boston. I've still got to clear this with the wife :p
