New 2007 TL Type S owner from Charlotte, NC

Hello,

I just recently picked up a 2007 Acura TL TypeS. Was looking for a silver and low miles. Found one in Vegas and had it delivered to Charlotte, NC. I bought it to be a daily driver to share with my wife. Performance of the TypeS seems to be sufficient as well. It would probably stay stock. Reliability is important. I used to have an Integra GSR and it rarely gave any problems. So I hope this goes the same way. Any TL owners in Charlotte area?

Welcome to the site, MadCleaner. I'm rather a newbie here myself, just recently joined, but after acquiring my 4th TL and using this site for tech guidance so many times over the years, I finally registered. Get your camera warmed up---everyone's going to want pics...LOL.

Its nasty outside, I need to clean it up and then I will snap a couple pictures. You really like TL's huh?

It hit 48 here today in SE WI...48!! I wash my cars often---I can't stand dirty cars---and by hand if possible. We use salt here and if you don't get it off it will chomp through your precious metal. My 05 alloys have 150K on them and they are MINT...no curb rash, no scratches, no lead weights, no salt corrosion, no clear coat peeling...the body, meh.

Believe it or not, I've owned well over 100 cars---I stopped counting 20 years ago and have had dozens since---and after letting my 99 TL go after I retired and 5 cars later, it seems to me that the 3G TL is the best car for the money, hands down.

I do work on the kids' and grandkids' vehicles (some jobs I turn down---LOL) and the TLs are quality and performance compared to the rest of the market, IMHO.

So, yeah, I guess so...LOL.

Congrats.

If you ever do decied to "mod" I would recommend window tint and interior LED bulbs. Subtle but makes a big difference.

Welcome to the site. If you want to stay stock but improve sound and performance a little I would recommend looking into getting a j-pipe. Adds like 15 hp and 20ish torque and doesn't really change the sound much. Also a thicker rear sway bar does wonders for this car too.
