New 2007 Acura TL
Hi everyone,
I ended up getting a 07 TL last night. I wasn't sure about the color until I saw it in person and I actually liked it. I know it's not a very popular color and derided as a color of car "old" people drive but I like it and that's what's important ... plus I feel old with 3 kids
I do plan on adding the Aspec lip as I've seen some pictures on this forum with folks running it without the sides or back and I think it definitely improves the look of the car. I'm sure at some point I'll jump up to some nice 18's and perhaps lower it a bit but for now I'm pleased with my purchase (plus as you can see my driveway is a bit steep and I'm not sure how much lower I could go and still park off the street).
The car has 60K miles on it with 2 prior owners. The paint is pretty nice (few rock chips that any 7 year old car would have). The interior is like new, clearly an adult owned car. It has NAV and overall was in great condition ... and the price was right!
I'm looking forward to driving this for many years to come. Thanks for all of the information on this forum, it definitely helped me zero in on what TL I wanted.

After driving the German Autobahn at high speeds in two exotic and high-end cars, I can tell you: good job man! You've pretty much just picked up the best car and greatest engineering achievement of mankind. If more people know the secret of the TL, used resale prices would skyrocket such that NOT A ONE of Acurazine's lesser crowd could afford one (you know who you are trolls that pick on me) ..
The fun factor of these cars and engagement is just ASTOUNDING! ) Have you pushed the limits at all yet taking 40 mph highway off-ramps at crazy speeds like 150%++ (60mph - don't worry, radar doesn't work on sharp curves! hence just like autobahn - no limit) and so on? What is your favorite part so far?

Thanks everyone, I'm so far impressed with how it drives. It has a bit of get up and go but still feels like a luxury car. I used to have an A6 4.2 and this does remind me how much I appreciate a nice interior . This obviously is a bit more sporty which I don't mind at all.
Unfortunately this morning the serpentine belt area started a constant whine which it appears is eminating from the tensioner. I can see the tensioner moving a bit. If I spray belt conditioner on the ribbed side of the belt the whine does go away for a minute. The whine also remains throughout the entire rev range. I'll have to wait until Tuesday to see about getting it to my shop to see what it really is. Annoying but things happen. Back to driving my wife's pilot for the weekend

Thanks! I'm absolutely loving this car so far. I'm already thinking about after market speakers and a dedicated 10" sub and amp. Still debating on the wheels, I suppose I have plenty of time to get new ones in the future.
You know it's a winner when your 3 and 5 year old congratulate you on your new "shiny" car and fight over who gets to go for a ride .
